ECU Student Involvement & Leadership is currently seeking a Central Reservations Office Event Assistant Specialist. The Event Assistant Specialist position is a part-time position with clerical responsibilities that work with and support the functions of the Student Centers including Office Assistants, Computer Lab Assistants, Welcome Center Assistants, Student Ushers, Event Assistants, and Central Reservations Office Assistants.
Customer Service Specialists are directly supervised by professional staff within the Department of Student Involvement and Leadership.
The Event Assistant Specialist is expected to fulfill the following general roles and responsibilities:
• Administrator: Complete all necessary paperwork, forms, and tasks. Maintain logs as required. Attend scheduled shifts and know the staff manual protocols.
As a result of being a student employee within the Division of Student Affairs, students will have the opportunity to gain the following competencies based on NACE Top Ten Skills Employers Seek and CAS Learning Domains:

Applicants should be prepared to work at Brody School of Medicine, Health Sciences Student Center, Main Campus Student Center, and Mendenhall Student Center.
|Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.)||
Applicants should be enrolled as a student and be in good academic standing with East Carolina University as well as with local, state, and federal laws. Additionally, candidates must possess a minimum cumulative GPA of a 2.00.
Applicants must be able to attend the mandatory student trainings in August.
