Job Summary

Job Duties: Oversees employees who work as customer service and operations specialists for the Union by providing guest services to students, staff, faculty, and guests. It is imperative to provide the best customer service. This is a student position. It requires working with people in a helpful and friendly manner. You must be accurate with numbers and detail-oriented in handling financial transactions. It is also required of you to have the ability to work effectively in a team setting, under the pressure of deadlines, schedules, and varying traffic flow.

All interested applicants will need to create a business plan for the following areas:

• Develop marketing promotions
• Increase profits and eliminate inefficiencies
• Practice and create outreach events with our community
• Prove a safe and fun experience for guests.
• Create and implement a strategic plan for physical improvements to the recreation area

Responsibilities

• Oversee a staff of 10+ employees
• Schedule to accommodate individual class schedules and events
• Oversee the hiring, discipline, and termination of employees
• Working knowledge of pinspotters, lane maintenance, and bowling scoring system
• Communicate with out-of-state sales reps via phone/email regarding purchasing supplies and capital improvements to recreation area
• Monitor and budget monthly income/expenses for the area
• Daily cash report, cashier and accounting duties as needed
• Organize, manage, and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
• Communicate effectively with a diverse population of students and employees
• Work with costumers to resolve complaints.
• Inventory of supplies
• Available for on call needs during business hours.
