Job Summary
The Donor Relations team in University Advancement is seeking a student worker to assist with project management and administrative tasks. This role assists the Senior Operations Strategist in invoice and p-card reconciliation, programming and agenda-setting for team meetings, providing general administrative support to team, handles special projects as assigned, offers customer service for external contacts, and is responsible for maintaining office supplies and swag. Additionally, the position serves as the central contact point for DCPO-DR, offering administrative support such as calendar management, meeting coordination, and conflict resolution.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor project management software
  • Provide status reports at bi-weekly project meetings
  • Oversees the input and recording of invoices and receipts
  • Works with Senior Operations Strategist to ensure p-card reconciliation and reporting is completed in a timely manner
  • Serve as a central contact point for DCPO-DR, providing administrative assistance including, but not limited to: scheduling and maintaining calendar, coordinating meetings and problem-solving calendar conflicts
  • Assists Senior Operations Strategist with Team Meeting programming and agenda
  • Administrative assistance to the DR team at large as needed
  • Special projects as assigned
  • Customer service for both internal and external colleagues
  • Maintaining office supplies and swag
Minimum Qualifications
Must be a current, enrolled undergraduate student at the University of Utah.
Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.
Preferences
Highly Preferred:
  • Pursuing degree in a related field plus one year of related experience or equivalency.
  • Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills


Other Preferences:

  • Strong triaging and organizational skills are essential.
  • Must have proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Skills related to project management, operations management, data entry/analytics are a plus.
  • Students interested in pursuing a career in higher education, non-profit management, public administration, or fundraising/donor relations are encouraged to apply.
