Job Summary:

The PROTEA Research team focuses on clinical trials, health implementation, education, and outreach programming. This multi-disciplinary team offers writing, presentation, management, and collaborative experiences in the aforementioned areas. There is mentorship available with the current faculty and collaborative and team-building opportunities when working alongside other academic staff. Primarily this individual would serve as a project lead and protocol developer for health services research and clinical trials efforts (including psychedelic therapeutic studies). As such, the position will involve leadership in the implementation of planned studies, coordination with collaborators outside the department on those studies, and the training of staff in that implementation. This individual is ideally an open-minded team player who is able to manage competing priorities, has experience in academic writing, and is willing to lead and participate in complex protocol and procedural conversations related to our work.

Education:

Required
Master's Degree
Preference given to candidates with a degree in psychology, biology, psychobiology, public health, neuroscience or related fields.


Qualifications:

- At least one year of experience in human subjects and/or clinical trials required.
- Experience in research, project and/or grant development and implementation required.
- Experience training or supervising multi-disciplinary staff or teams preferred.
- Experience working on a research program related to Addiction Medicine preferred.
- Experience developing grants and collecting/analyzing data for a research program in an Academic Medical Center preferred.
- Knowledge of government regulations and guidelines with respect to clinical and community research preferred.

This position may require some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location.

Salary:

Minimum $60,000 ANNUAL (12 months)

The starting salary for the position is $60,000 but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Additional Information:

- Flexibility and willingness to work early mornings, evenings or weekends as needed.
- Must be able to travel to clinical sites in the Madison area and throughout the state of Wisconsin.
