Job Summary: | The Ricke Lab is seeking a Researcher I to contribute to the success of groundbreaking urology research within a dynamic laboratory setting. Our lab studies prostate disease initiation, progression, drug resistance, and clinical biomarkers for personalized treatment modalities. Specifically, we are focused on understanding how steroid hormone receptors are modulated across benign and metastatic prostate disease. We use the mouse as a model system for our studies. The successful candidate will conduct laboratory tests related to cell and molecular biology in the fields of cancer and benign urology and train incoming team members on cell and molecular biology techniques. Procedures performed and equipment used in our research include RNA and DNA isolation, quantitative immunohistochemistry, fluorescent microscopy, cell and tissue culture, mouse models, CRISPR, Q-PCR technique, SDS-PAGE and automated Westerns, and image analysis hardware and software. This position will work independently to plan and perform laboratory tests using standard procedures and practices while under the minimal supervision of the Principal Investigator or their designee. |
