Job Title:  Research Services Principal Laboratory Sciences Professional

Job Summary:

  • Under the supervision of a faculty member (MD and APPs), and other lab members, the successful candidate will work primarily on research associated with UCHealth Burn and Frostbite Center

  • Identify and assist in obtaining grant/extramural funding.

  • Assist with processes of ongoing research:

    • Proper research methodology followed.

    • Ensure proper study medication administration.

    • Coordinate human blood, tissue, fluid collection and banking when applicable.

    • Pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic analyses when applicable

    • Statistical analyses when required.

    • Scholarly writing / abstract / manuscript preparation and editing

    • Other clinical research activities to be determined by ongoing funded research.

  • Develop and complete independent projects that complement the Burn and Frostbite research program and/or improve the care of the Burn Service patients.

    • Special focus on pharmacotherapy involved with burn, frostbite, severe dermatologic illnesses, and medication optimization surrounding surgical procedures involving dermal reconstruction / autografting.

  • Actively attend UCHealth Burn and Frostbite Center research meetings.

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert and authority in the area(s) of Expert level knowledge of Critical Care Pharmacotherapy

Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics or related field
    • A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis
  • Three (3) years professional level research experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics or related field
  • Four (4) years of experience in an experimental or wet laboratory

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range ) for this position has been established as $22,776 - $28,972 for the 0.4 FTE pro-rate. 

The above hiring range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation depending on the level.
