Summary of Duties:

Under general supervision, this position designs and prepares original artwork and materials for a variety of research communication purposes. This position composes visual, auditory and digital media that promotes and communicates the research conducted by the PRISM Collaborative.
Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to: produces all social media and outreach materials supporting Contingency Management and addiction research, works independently to determine the most appropriate methods and techniques of designing and producing publications, works closely with the research team to understand intended audience and requirements for grant funded research projects. Ensures materials produced meet NIH and other funding source requirements and restrictions.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

50% Visual, Auditory and Digital Design

25% Social Media Materials Design

20% Collaboration and Communication

5% Other


Required Qualifications:

Two years of college-level training in graphic arts, illustration, drafting or closely allied field AND one year of experience as a Graphics Assistant OR equivalent education/experience.

Additional Requirements:

  • Experience using graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite familiarity with marketing principles.
  • Education and or experience in website design, development and maintenance.
  • Ability to design and produce a variety of visual communication materials; design and produce electronic presentations; lay out and produce printed materials.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of color theory, design principles and composition, methods and techniques of graphic design.
  • Familiarity of research studies of PRISM (Contingency Management, psychosis, cannabis related studies).
