Position Details
Job Summary | The College of Health Science & Public Health at Eastern Washington University (EWU) is currently seeking a full-time Lecturer for the Department of Occupational Therapy. We are inviting applications from qualified occupational therapists to serve as a full-time Lecturer. Appointment for this position will begin on August 16, 2024. This position is a one-year appointment for AY2024-2025 and would be for a standard 9-month faculty appointment; the academic calendar typically runs from mid-August to mid-May. The Lecturer faculty reports to the Department of Occupational Therapy (DOT) Chair. The full-time Lecturer position will carry a 90% teaching as outlined in the University Collective Bargaining Agreement, plus 10% service to the department and the profession. Additionally, all faculty are expected to actively participate in student advising and ongoing assessment of student learning. The Department of Occupational Therapy offers a competitive graduate program for the Master of Occupational Therapy. The MOT program is conducted in a cohort model with 32 students per cohort. The program is completed in 2.5 years. Students complete all academic work during the first two years followed by two 3-month clinical internships. The Department of Occupational Therapy is located within the College of Health Science and Public Health (CHSPH) on the downtown Spokane campus. As a premier college serving the educational needs of the health care practitioners, CHSPH includes nursing, physical therapy, communication sciences and disorders, public health and health administration, wellness and movement sciences, dental hygiene, and Regional Initiatives in Dental Education (RIDE).
