Student Business Services is dedicated to helping each student and his or her family better understand and manage their financial obligations to Texas A&M University, through an open and honest partnership. SBS processes all student financial interactions and obligations including tuition and fees, student waivers and exemptions, the Texas Guaranteed Tuition Fund, loans, collections, application of financial aid, student refunds, and production of university ID cards.

What we want
The Assistant Director is responsible for overseeing the needs of overall account management for professional programs, i.e. the School of Law, EMBA/PMBA programs within Mays Business School, the Health Science Center, the Bush School graduate programs, and the Veterinary Medicine program. The unique requirements of these cohorts demand a more tailored approach to support and service. This position will have focused relationship management with these stakeholders across campus as a dedicated point of contact for the professional programs they serve. They will closely collaborate with the other Enrollment Services offices to provide specialized customer service from an individual who is uniquely trained in their program's specifics.

Salary: $55,412.00 - $71,219.20

Position Details: Travel to designated sites is required for this position.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Five years of progressively responsible financial management experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to multi task and work cooperatively with others.
Ability to organize activities, coordinate processes with other staff, departments, etc.
Excellent personal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree
Five or more years' experience in a in higher education environment.
Essential Duties/Tasks
Provide Professional Programs with Platinum Service regarding fiscal assessments & student business operations.
Serves as an Account Manager of high-level enrollment management support.
Point of contact at all remote locations for complex student account related requests requiring escalations from on-site advisor, college units or Dean's office.
Programs include all DC Bush School, Health Science Center, Graduate, McAllen, School of Law, and Veterinary Medicine.
Trains local enrollment service employees on complex account related issues and assessments.
Reports servicing requests, oversees bi-weekly meeting with each respective enrollment management representative as well as quarterly/bi-annual on-site visits as needed.
Provides high level summary to Executive Director of all newly approved programs, any new service requirements, and Quarterly reporting regarding new service activity or outstanding service issues.
Coordinates all programs with enrollment services for any registration, financial aid, or admission anomalies.
Reviews fiscal appeals submitted by professional students regarding college, advisor, registration, financial aid and student business services administrative errors.
Administration of the SBS Knowledge base and Website Information.
Manages all professional and graduate communications, including, but not limited to website descriptions, Aggie Answers utilizing CCM Howdy tool, website programs and Fresh Desk publishing.
Creates documents to provide to IT to create the Tuition assessment calculator after the Budget, Provost and President approves tuition and fees.
Assists Budget and Provost office with standardization of professional programs ensuring the programs needs and fee assessment abilities are approved and achievable.
Ensures newly approved fees are listed on the SBS Website prior to pre-registration coordinating with each professional school ensuring Texas A&M's competitive advantages as it relates to each program.
Utilizes approval documents to specify charges per professional program and updates website accordingly for public consumption.
Reviews fee approval documentation for all specialized professional programs.
Collaborates with programs to maintain consistency across programs website to ensure they are in alignment with SBS website and calculator.
Maintains testing protocols and documents to ensure accuracy and integrity of student account.
Manages the streamlining and documentation of processes/procedures for Student Business Services.
Leads sub-units in examining, documenting, and organizing processes/procedures to ensure compliance with federal and state agencies.
Identifying and streamlining processing to ensure effective potential eliminating wasted potential or time.
Ensures adherence to rules and regulations published by the Federal and State governments.
Assists with all audit or program reviews.
Documents necessary changes in programming through CWR's to Enterprise Information Systems.
Leads Audit Administration, Open Record Requests and Subpoena data.
Leads audit tasks for all Student Business Services State and Federal annual audits as well as program reviews by the Department of Education.
Primary contact for all open records and subpoena requests.
Performs audit on SBS data and processes to ensure timely and accurate information to constituents.
