Assistant Director of Prospect Development

This position oversees the management of donor portfolios totaling over several million in yearly production. The Assistant Director of Prospect Management is responsible for tracking the operations of fundraising managers and staff as well as creating and overseeing the pipeline development to identify and track prospects to meet current and future fund-raising goals.

This position will report to the Director of Prospect Development and Data Services, be a part of the Prospect Development team and will work collaboratively and partner effectively with Frontline Development, Athletics Development, the Creighton Fund, Donor Relations and Alumni Relations as well as Senior Management and Campaign leadership to ensure prospects are identified, cultivated, solicited and stewarded appropriately during the timeframe of the upcoming campaign and beyond.

Bachelor's Degree in relevant area of study and/or equivalent work experience in fundraising, marketing, communications, public administration, business administration, or applicable field.
Minimum of four years combined experience and proven ability in one or more of the following: Project/Program Management, Mission-based/Nonprofit Work, Philanthropy, Sales Coordination Support. 
Previous experience with non-profit fundraising, experience in a college or university setting preferred.

Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to work collaboratively or independently in managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment in a timely manner
Must be able to resolve issues, explain and support findings/results, and possess the ability to interpret needs
Strategic thinker with superb organizational, verbal and writing skills
Desired skills include: detail oriented, ability to connect information from different sources, strategic thinker, strong communicator, excels in building relationships with staff
Must exhibit professionalism, integrity and excellent judgment
Demonstrates, conflict resolution and negotiation skills, attention to detail and exceptional analytical skills 
Experience with inter-relational and CRM databases, Ellucian Advance and Reeher preferred, excellent computer skills with all Microsoft Office programs
Familiarity with fundraising research and prospect management techniques, knowledge of individual gift fundraising
