Description
Join our 2022 Summer Camp team as a Camp Educator! This is a perfect opportunity for teachers, recent college graduates, or nature-loving individuals looking for a seasonal position. The 2022 Summer Camp season starts June 20 and ends August 26, operating Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Camp Educators are responsible for coming up with crafts, games, and activities relevant to weekly camp theme. Camp Educators are assisted by two or more volunteer counselors. There is the possibility of extending your employment with CNC as a part-time environmental educator.
Qualifications
Camp Educators must be at least 21 years of age or older by the start of summer camp, understand a variety of natural science topics, and teach age-appropriate lessons to kids ranging from 4-13 years old. A relevant degree is helpful, but not required. Hiring priority will be given to applicants who are committed to work at least 9 out of 10 weeks of camp. In accordance with the mandate set forth by Bucks County, all Churchville Nature Center staff are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with proof of vaccination. Upon hire, staff must obtain Pennsylvania State Police Clearances and Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearances. If you have lived in Pennsylvania for the last 10 years, you must submit a notarized CR Affidavit Form. If you have not lived in Pennsylvania for the last 10 years, you must complete an FBI Fingerprint Clearance. Information on how to obtain these clearances will be provided upon hire.
