Offer Description
The project aims to valorise the results of historiographical research on one of the symbolic places of the tragedies that affected the city, the region and the entire Upper Adriatic area in the 20th century. The Risiera, due to its characteristics, presents itself as an anomalous lager within the nazi concentrationary universe. The Polizeihaftlager was established with a dual purpose: that of a camp for the detention, torture and murder of Italian, Slovenian and Croatian political opponents and that of a transit camp for Jews and Roma and Sintiprisoners.
The researcher should have a proven experience in the field of Public History and history of the Upper Adriatic area and of the Shoah and should, in agreement with the scientific supervisor and the tutor of the Museum, collect and analyse bibliographic, archival and iconographic material on the history of the Risiera di San Sabba. He will have to: prepare and submit a questionnaire to the visitors of the memorial; design and realise new information and didactic files addressed to teachers and visitors, to be made available on the site of the Risiera; produce a scientific paper on the results achieved in English. Knowledge of German and English is required.
