Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, the Sports Camp Team Leader will be responsible for assisting the Sports Camp Administrator with tasks related to the assurance of a smooth-running Summer Camp operation. The responsibilities will consist of both administrative and operational tasks as required. The Sports Camp Leader will work closely with camp instructors permitting them to quickly address any issues requiring immediate attention.

Position Summary:

  • Responsible for creating and distributing the camper bunk lists.
  • Responsible for distributing schedules.
  • Assure the distribution of t-shirts to all campers.
  • Responsible for keeping track of daily absences and reporting them to the Camp Administrator.
  • Assure availability and coverage during break periods or when extra help is required.
  • Assure activity timing and transition periods are in line with schedules.
  • Monitor and facilitate the late drop-offs and early pickups of campers.
  • Assure immediate communication with the Camp Administrator regarding any issues requiring their attention.
  • Check with the Windsor clinic staff daily and communicate any incidents to the Camp Administrator. 
  • Assist with confirming hours are logged in by camp staff at the end of each week.

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities

  • Familiar with administrative procedures an asset
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Knowledgeable in a camp environment an asset
  • Knowledge of French and English. McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English 
    communication both verbally and in writing
