Base Salary $104,633 - $113,992+ 17% superannuation
About the opportunity
The Business School is seeking a creative and experienced Digital Learning Designer to join their team!
As the Digital Learning Designer, you will work within a small, close knit team environment made up of 7 team members, with whom you will collaborate and liaise closely with. Outside the immediate team, you will collaborate closely with other Business Co-Design team members supporting Business School academics. You will do this by co-designing student-centred, technology-informed learning experiences.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
Support Business School academics by co-designing interactive learning experiences which are engaging and pedagogically sound for both blended and online delivery
work closely with academics and educational developers to identify learning delivery options, then design and embed these in the context of a technology-enabled environment
integrate digital learning in targeted curriculum areas to meet the teaching needs of the Business School and University educational strategies
support teaching staff in the areas of online, hybrid, and interactive learning, including enhancing the use of the University’s Learning Management System (Canvas) and associated plugins
undertake ongoing exploration of new technologies, innovations and developments to enhance interactive learning approaches and student-centred learning experiences.
About you
Hold tertiary qualifications in an area relevant to Learning Design (Undergraduate minimum)
professional experience working as a Learning Designer in a tertiary education environment or equivalent (higher education, secondary education, vocational or equivalent)
experience in adapting, designing and/or co-developing content for technology- enabled learning environments
demonstrated experience in using interactive tools and plug-ins to create, build and enhance educational delivery
ability to use initiative and exercise sound judgement in resolving matters that may arise as part of normal daily work
agile problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise workload during busy periods.

Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the reasons for the position.
