About the Role
The School of Nursing and Midwifery is seeking to appoint a full time, ongoing and experienced nurse academic, at Professor level with demonstrated innovation and commitment to nursing education and research.

You will be expected to exercise a special responsibility in providing leadership and in fostering excellence in research, teaching, professional activities and policy development to a broad range of scholarly activities within the discipline and School.

You will foster interdisciplinary collaboration among existing academic staff to leverage the University’s intellectual capital, while building strong research teams and networks both internally and with national and international collaborators and external bodies including industry and professional associations. Bridging the nexus between research and teaching, you will also contribute to the development, implementation and delivery of teaching and learning activities in undergraduate, postgraduate and higher degree research programs.

The positions will be based at Campbelltown campus with the expectation of travel to other campuses where required.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications
You will hold a PhD in Nursing or a related field. You must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Division 1 Registered Nurse in Australia and have expertise and experience in nurse education in university-based programs.

For appointment at Level E, you will have a distinguished track record of research (demonstrated by publications in high impact journals, successful grant applications and links with external bodies including industry, government and community).

All applicants must demonstrate provision of high-level leadership to research teams and have evidence of leadership for research development. You will also be expected to have experience in research training at the honours and higher degree research level.
