Updated: almost 3 years ago
Location: Germany,
Job Type: PartTime
Deadline: 30 Jul 2021

The mission of the Leibniz Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research (ZALF) as a nationally and internationally active research institute is to deliver solutions for an ecologically, economically and socially sustainable agriculture – together with society. ZALF is a member of the Leibniz Association and is located in Müncheberg (approx. 35 minutes by regional train from Berlin-Lichtenberg). It also maintains a research station with further locations in Dedelow and Paulinenaue. The Working Group on Impact Assessment at ZALF analyses options for more sustainable land and soil management.

We are looking for a motivated researcher to support the upcoming project “GONASIP: Governing multi-scale heterogeneities to activate natural carbon sink potentials”. The project analyses options for climate change mitigation in Germany through nature-based carbon dioxide removal (CDR). It analyses options for increasing soil carbon sequestration in agricultural fields, as well as on options for afforestation on municipal sites. Within the project, ZALF will conduct literature-based and a stakeholder-based impact assessments for a suite of natural CDR measures and policy options. A particular focus will be on impacts related to the supply of ecosystem services.

Subject to funding approval, we are offering a 65% part-time position temporarily limited until September, 30, 2024 at our location in Müncheberg as
