The German Institute of Human Nutrition Potsdam-Rehbruecke (DIfE) is a member of the Leibniz Association. The institute’s mission is to conduct experimental and clinical research in the field of nutrition and health, with the aim of understanding the molecular basis of nutrition-dependent diseases, and of developing new strategies for treatment and prevention.

We invite applications for the Department of Decision Neuroscience and Nutrition (DNN) , formed as part of a joint appointment with the Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, for

starting as soon as possible.

The general aim of the department is to understand the complex mechanisms of human decision making. We investigate different strategies that modulate diverse decisions. These strategies and underlying mechanisms will be investigated in healthy and clinical populations. This highly interdisciplinary research requires a systematic combination of neural, (fMRI, EEG, NIRS), physiological (SCR, HR, Eye movements) and metabolic data (i.e. hormones).

Tasks

  • Investigation of consumer behavior and its driving factors (e.g. sustainability)
  • Design, data assessment, data analyses and presentation of research results (presenting at conferences, publications)

The position is available for 3 years. Salaries are paid according to the German federal tariff agreements (remuneration group E 13 TV-L [65%]).
