Job Summary
Processes repetitive and nonrepetitive, clerical accounting transactions which require specific knowledge of a wide variety of prescribed accounting codes and classifications.
Responsibilities
Prepare journal entries for payroll deductions.
Record various payroll tax amounts on spreadsheets.
Assist with various payroll tax processing tasks related to IRS Forms W-2 and W-4.
Assist with various income tax processing tasks in preparation of the University’s IRS Forms 990-T and 990.
Record and deposit various types of amounts received by the department.
Process mail, faxes, and checks received by the department.
Assist staff on various tasks and projects. 
Minimum Qualifications
Must be a current University of Utah student.
One year of experience performing accounting functions and preparing related reports, or equivalency; the ability to use standard office machines, calculators and data input terminals; and demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills required.
