Job Summary
You may get to assist office staff in various functions for various departments in the College of Nursing (such as the Dean’s suite, IT, Student Services, etc.) at the University of Utah. Provide general office support. Review and process documents and requests for information, maintain files, enter data and distribute mail. Work with staff and faculty, have access to leaders in academics, research and medical care, gain experience in managing documents, spreadsheets and information.
This job posting is ONLY available to University of Utah students who have been awarded a Federal WORK-STUDY Award for the current year.
*If possible, we hope to find WS students who are willing to start soon in March and have WS funding for summer and would like to continue into the next academic year.

Responsibilities
1. Reviews and processes department paperwork, reviews them for accuracy and completeness; ensures compliance with University and department policies, procedures and regulations.
2. Answers inquiries that may result in a search for records.
3. Gathers and assembles data for reports.
4. Maintains filing systems by determining the most appropriate filing category.
5. Receives, sorts and distributes incoming and outgoing mail.
6. Answers, screens and routes incoming telephone calls.
7. May process payments and prepare receipts.
8. Other duties as requested.
