Job Summary
my529 is looking for exceptional persons to join our team as full-time customer service representatives (actually, we call them Specialists).

What a Specialist Does

Specialists receive inbound calls and answer questions about 529 plans. If you’re selected, we’ll train you so you can answer with confidence. As a specialist you’ll be making updates to accounts and writing letters to account owners, so you need to have basic computer skills and experience with programs such as Word and Excel.
You will also spend time entering data, including working with numbers, so you will need to have a keen eye for detail and accuracy. Because you’ll be talking with account owners or others interested in our plan, you need to have excellent communication skills. As a member of our professional team, you will be joining a hard-working group that is serious about providing exceptional service to account owners.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities & Essential Functions:
  • Receive inbound calls and answer questions about 529 plans.
  • Work with numbers to provide accurate financial information to my529 account holders.
  • Update account information and write letters to account owners.
  • Data entry and typing.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to my529 account holders.
  • Ability to complete all other tasks or projects assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  • A college degree is preferred for a specialist II & III
  • Proficient with computers (intermediate skills, including typing and data entry)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to complete all customer service needs in a timely manner.
