Job Summary
 

The University of Chicago is seeking a Senior Integration Developer in the implementation and support of our platform, Oracle Cloud ERP. The role of a Senior Integration Developer involves working with business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to identify integration requirements and develop solutions that enable the seamless flow of data between Oracle Cloud ERP and other systems. They must have a deep understanding of Oracle Cloud ERP architecture, data model, and APIs, as well as expertise in integration technologies and protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Designs and develops integrations between Oracle Cloud ERP and other systems, such as Salesforce, Workday, or SAP.
  • Develops and maintains integration interfaces using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) or other middleware technologies such as MuleSoft.
  • Identifies process improvements and changes to integration methodology based on prior implementation experience. 
  • Assists other integration developers in mitigating risks and resolving technical issues, including performance and data quality problems.
  • Applies defined coding standards to all integration development activities. 
  • Contributes and coordinates in establishing integration and data standards and templates. Maintains efficient operationalization of all integration solutions, including error handling. 
  • Configures and customizes Oracle Cloud ERP to enable seamless data integration. 
  • Develops and tests integration workflows, mappings, and transformations. 
  • Troubleshoots and resolves integration issues, including errors and exceptions. 
  • Provides technical guidance and support to other team members. 
  • Ensures integration solutions are scalable, secure, and meet performance requirements. 
  • Provides specialized knowledge of Oracle and MuleSoft integration work. 
  • Creates documents and shares best practices and procedures with the organization. 
  • Designs new systems, features, and tools. Solves complex problems and identifies opportunities for technical improvement and performance optimization. Reviews and tests code to ensure appropriate standards are met.
  • Utilizes technical knowledge of existing and emerging technologies, including public cloud offerings from Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud.
  • Performs other related work as needed.


Minimum Qualifications
 

Education:

Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, information systems, or other related field. 
  • Masters degree. 

Experience:

  • 7 years development, implementation, support, and maintenance of a vendor-supported system.
  • A minimum of 5 years as a MuleSoft developer supporting production systems troubleshooting within the Mule Runtime, Platform API, and Gateway tools.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
  • Working with databases and data integrity.
  • Data mapping and metadata concepts.

Certifications:  

  • Oracle Cloud certification.

Technical Skills or Knowledge:

  • Hands-on experience developing integrations between Oracle Cloud ERP and other applications.
  • Strong analytical skills used to translate information and requirements into documentation and solution design. 
  • Functional knowledge of Oracle Cloud ERP is a plus.
