Job Description:
- Performs routine laboratory maintenance and research activities including proteomics sample processing and method development and optimization.
- Performs LC-MS/MS and other mass spectrometry analyses to generate quantitative global and targeted proteomics data for a variety of research projects in collaboration with investigators.
- Participates in scientific discussions and brainstorming sessions regarding experimental design, and new technological development and innovation around various research themes requiring proteomics.
- Provides technical and administrative support for a research project.
- Collects and enters data. Assists in analyzing data. Assists with preparation of reports, manuscripts and other documents.
- Performs other related work as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry or field of study related to the research of the laboratory.
Experience:
- Working in a research laboratory or core facility.
- Previous experience with at least one project using Orbitrap mass spectrometry instruments.
- Working within a mass spectrometry-based research laboratory.

- Strong computer and record keeping skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
