Position Summary:

University Information Systems (UIS) provides technical services and enterprise applications to the University of Colorado’s (CU) four campuses and the Office of the President. UIS is committed to excellence in customer service, technical expertise, and the development of enterprise applications responsible for supporting CU’s students, faculty, human resources employees, finance employees, and others.

The Sr Integrations Developer provides technical support and software development in the area of integration for the University’s enterprise systems. This position has an emphasis on the integration of multiple Salesforce organizations, using the MuleSoft integration platform and Talend Open Studio. The Sr Integrations Developer is tasked with requirements gathering, design, and development of integrations using a variety of technologies, and mainly focusing on near-real-time message-based patterns. This work will integrate Salesforce with the University’s enterprise systems.

This position reports to the Assistant Director of Integrations and is exempt from the State of Colorado Classified Staff System.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Performs systems analysis and design, which includes:
    • Working with analysts and architects to craft technical solutions to fulfill Salesforce integrations needs
    • Writing technical specifications and documentation
  • Communicates and collaborates with business liaisons, senior developers, architectural staff, and project leadership to clarify requirements, resolve issues, implement technical solutions and provide support on interface projects; provides updates on project progress and outstanding issues 
  • Performs program coding, configuration, testing, and production implementation mainly on the MuleSoft and Talend platforms
  • Writes new or modifies existing programs using a variety of computer languages and technologies on a variety of operating system platforms
  • Confirms accuracy of software by testing new and modified applications, and by coordinating end user system testing
  • Provides continual operational support for enterprise integrations after production implementation, which includes:
    • Responding to incident ticket requests
    • Evaluating and resolving integrations issues
    • Fielding questions from end-users regarding functionality
  •        Participates in continuing professional development by attending workshops, seminars, and conferences to acquire and maintain knowledge and skills related to the work performed

THIS POSITION IS PROJECT FUNDED AND WILL END NO LATER THAN 6/30/2026.

Salary: The anticipated hiring range has been established at $90,000 - $95,000.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Please ensure your resume includes any and all relevant experience to be accurately assessed against these qualifications.  You must meet all minimum requirements listed at the time of application to be considered for this role.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education, in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, or related field, or equivalent professional experience (professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis)
  • Three (3) years of experience as a near-real-time message-based integration developer, which includes:
    • Integrations of various systems in relation to MuleSoft integration development and maintenance (other tools such as Talend Open Studio, Boomi, Jitterbit, or Oracle Service Bus may be substitute for MuleSoft)
  • Position may be required to work after hours and/or on-call, as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Five (5) years’ experience as a MuleSoft or Talend integration developer, which includes:
    • Two (2) years of professional experience in the administration, design, and/or implementation of Salesforce.com, including experience creating integrations, objects, fields, and workflows, and customizing page layouts, fields, tabs, and business processes
  • Experience working with data structures and data modeling
  • Experience with Data Loader/Demand Tools
  • Experience working in or with government or an institution of higher education
  • Experience in management consulting or customer relationship management (CRM) implementation
  • Experience with Marketing Cloud or Cvent
  • Experience with Agile project management
  • Salesforce.com certification, Sales Cloud / Service Cloud consulting certification

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

To be successful in this position, employees will need to know the following:
