Security Officer - Part Time

Berkeley College is seeking a part-time Security Officer to join our team in Woodland Park, NJ.

The Security Officer will maintain a professional demeanor while leading staff and aiding customers, employees, visitors, and guests.

Job Responsibilities:

• Access control
• Camera monitoring
• Incident report writing,
• Contact with outside emergency responders,
• Interaction with Berkeley College Public Safety and Student Development departments
• General behavior monitoring
• Position may include on-site training of new employees and sub-contracted employees
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Emergency management experience a plus.
• Knowledge of regulations and laws pertaining to schools.
• Knowledge of/familiarity with managing CCTV and card key systems.
• Security/safety training and certification or equivalent required.
• CPR/AED First Aid Certification, preferred.
• Effective communication skills and experience.
• Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
• Must be flexible to work morning, day, evening or weekend shifts.
• Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers
