Job Summary
This at-will position is wholly or partially funded by contractual grant funding which is renewed under provisions set by the grantor of the contract. Employment will be contingent upon the continued receipt of these grant funds and satisfactory job performance.
Responsibilities
- Perform lab experiments such as ELISA, ELISPOT assay, flow cytometry, cell isolation, tissue culture, DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, RT-PCR, and tissue staining.
- Perform daily monitoring of experimental mice, tumor size measurement, imaging, bleeding, injection and tissue harvest and sample analysis.
- Maintain and order equipment and supplies.
- Maintain inventories of samples and supplies.
- Provides technical and administrative support for a research project.
- Collects and enters data. Assists in analyzing data. Assists with preparation of reports, manuscripts and other documents.
- Assists with the installation, sets up and performs experiments; interacting with students and other laboratory staff under the direction of the principal investigator.
- Performs other related work as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Minimum requirements include vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field (not typically required to have a four-year degree).---

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher degree in Immunology, Biology, or other related fields.
Experience:
- Multi-color flow cytometry.
- Flow data analysis using FlowJo or other software.
- Mouse tumor measurement, tissue harvest and analysis.
- Aseptic tissue culture in biological safety cabinet.
- Immunological assays such as ELISA, ELISPOT assay and cell isolation.
- Molecular assays.
