Job Description Summary:

The Recruiting Communications Coordinator works collaboratively with RELLIS Academic Alliance staff, as well as the Marketing and Communications Department at the Texas A&M University System. Housed at the Academic Alliance, this position works directly with the recruitment team focused on attracting prospective students to the over 25 bachelor’s degree programs available to them. This effort is supported by maintaining the official social media accounts and working with the team to draft and design communications and marketing materials.


Responsibilities:

- Serve as Social Media Manager for all RELLIS Academic Alliance Official accounts. Duties include developing the annual social media strategy for all accounts and creating content throughout the month for multiple posts, videos, reels, etc. for both recruitment and student life.

- Assists with planning, developing, and managing recruitment marketing strategies and tactics to enhance the reputation of the RELLIS Academic Alliance.

- Coordinate event promotion and photography at events with TAMUS MARCOMM staff. Draft follow-up content (as appropriate) for both recruitment and social media purposes, and review the website with a critical eye and focus on recruitment of new students.

- Serve as a web editor for the RELLIS Academic Alliance website. After January 2023, a fully redesigned website will be available, so no HTML coding is required. A training manual will be provided.

- Develop compelling visual and multimedia communications for use in the social media channels using software such as the Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.

- Assists in maintaining mass communication strategy utilizing our CRM, Salesforce, to communicate with prospective students via email, SMS, and postal lists at various stages of the enrollment funnel. This position will also coordinate the distribution and evaluation of these campaigns.  

- Research and analyze data sets to identify marketing trends, generate strategic insight and performance reports.

- Prioritize and manage multiple projects.

- Responsible for managing the Recruitment Communications Student Worker.

- Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One year of related experience.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
- Interpersonal skills and ability to plan and organize effectively. 
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
- Knowledge of social media and web pages. 
- Ability to work independently once given a project.

- Normal work week is 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, but there may be occasional work beyond normal office hours and/or work on weekends. 

- Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
