Job Summary | The Research Psychologist will play a crucial role in conducting innovative research projects focusing on maternal-child health, contributing to the advancement of medical knowledge, and promoting evidence-based practices in the field of psychology. The successful candidate will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across obstetrics, neonatology and pediatrics, engage in data collection, ultimately resulting in the dissemination of research findings through publications and presentations. The candidate will be jointly employed by the Departments of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics. Candidates will also have the opportunity to participate in the clinical care setting through the Utah Developmental Assessment Clinics at the University of Utah if desired. Both full-time and part-time options are available with flexible hours to accommodate both the qualified candidate and research participants. Research assessments are the primary focus of this position, but there are also clinical opportunities available if desired by applicant. |

Minimum Qualifications | Required Ph.D or Psy.D. degree from an APA accredited graduate program in counseling, school or clinical psychology or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience). Current licensure as a Psychologist in the State of Utah. One year experience in psychotherapy, group or family therapy within a clinical setting. Preferred Experience with hospital- based psychological practices (inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization and / or outpatient). Experience with individual, family, and group psychotherapy; and a variety of assessment experiences including intellectual, neuropsychological, and affective/behavioral assessment. Licensed for two years or more, and experience, training, or interest in providing clinical supervision to interns and residents. Completion of an APA-approved doctoral internship. This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements.
