About the Department
 

The Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes Chicago (ECHO-Chicago) is an innovative workforce development model designed to ‘move knowledge, not patients’ to strengthen delivery of community-based primary care so that patients receive the right care, at the right place, at the right time. ECHO leverages high-grade videoconferencing like Zoom, to bring together subject matter experts from academic medical centers or other specialty sites of care and community-based providers to engage in curriculum driven training and telementoring that focuses on building providers’ practical knowledge and skills in implementing evidence-based best practices. UChicago specialty care providers host series comprised of 6-18 sessions, delivered via zoom, designed to train primary care providers to manage complex chronic diseases and conditions. ECHO-Chicago’s series portfolio has spanned 35 content areas, including adolescent health, behavioral health integration, childhood adversity and trauma, complex diabetes, COVID-19, geriatrics, hepatitis C, opioid use disorder, pediatric ADHD, resistant hypertension, serious mental illness and women’s health. ECHO-Chicago is based in the Department of Pediatrics and works to address issues of healthcare access in adults and children living in underserved urban communities.


Job Summary
 

The Project Coordinator (PC) is responsible for promoting the ECHO-Chicago vision, and implementing new and existing ECHO-Chicago series, including working with UCM faculty to develop the curriculum, recruiting new providers, conducting evaluation, and managing weekly telehealth sessions. The PC also provides some of the technical support related to technology and connectivity, working to resolve technology issues and ensure we are using technology best practices. The PC will work with the Executive Director & Director of Operations in planning and implementing research and evaluation to assess the impact and value of ECHO telehealth. They will be responsible for managing data, conducting preliminary analysis, and preparing data reports for ECHO-Chicago leadership. The PC will apply experience and skills to contribute to development of grant and research proposals, preparation of presentations, social media, curricular materials, and the operations of ECHO-Chicago sessions.

Responsibilities


Operations:


  • Responsible for task leadership and sub-task management for telehealth sessions, collaborate with facilitator to schedule sessions, and work with team to finalize evaluation tools.  

  • Coordinates telehealth sessions and provides pre- and post-session administrative support for program facilitators and community providers related to the telehealth sessions.  

  • Provides technical assistance to community providers for participation in telehealth sessions and manages communication with community partners and providers. 

  • Facilitates the collection and management of project related data from participating community partner sites.  

  • Provides administrative support including documentation of session attendance and activities, sending meeting reminders and session’s summaries, maintaining calendars, and providing other logistical support to the ECHO-Chicago program. 


 


Outreach & Recruitment: 


  • Works with Outreach and Recruitment Lead to develop marketing materials like monthly electronic newsletter, series brochure, annual report and flyers.  

  • Explores potential of new partnerships with community health centers to enhance participation in ECHO-Chicago series.  

  • Travels to the community sites, as needed, to develop and foster partnerships with community health clinics and strategic partners.   


 


Communications & Social Media: 


  • Works with the Outreach & Recruitment Lead to promote program milestones and activities on social media accounts to increase engagement.  

  • Helps collect qualitative feedback from participants. 


 


Other:


  • Uses moderate/solid understanding and experience to administer the delivery of services to program participants and/or beneficiaries.  

  • Has moderate levels of interactions with faculty, researchers and staff for committee work or information.

  • Performs other related work as needed. 



Minimum Qualifications
 

Education:

Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.

Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through 2-5 years of work experience in a related job discipline.

Preferred Qualifications  


 


Education: 


  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree. 


Experience: 


  • 2 years of experience in project coordination, planning, and/or management. 

  • Experience in the health or human service field, working with a multi-disciplinary team and developing relationships with community partners. 

  • Demonstrated experience in developing marketing materials, preferably using Microsoft Publisher or Canva. 

  • Social media or podcast experience. 

  • Experience with web-based data management tools (e.g. REDCap, Survey Monkey, Google Forms, etc.).

  • Candidate must be flexible, comfortable with uncertainty, and able to effectively set own priorities and juggle several complex tasks at once.

  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills. 

  • Commitment to team-based approach to projects, and able to work with executive, clinical, and academic staff.  

  • Able to learn and master new technology quickly. 


Working Conditions  


  • Requires some domestic travel.  

  • Hybrid environment allowing remote work and work with remote stakeholders.
