Required Education and Experience:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Two years of program administration experience

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications
  • Ability to use an Apple computer
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • PhD in a STEM related field
  • Understanding budgeting and resource allocation
  • Knowledge of summer camps

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of CONCUR, Aggiebuy, and Workday

Preferred Licenses and Certifications:

  • Teacher Certification

Responsibilities:

  • Administrative - Assists the Co-Principal Investigators in administrative, management and reporting tasks. Assists in establishing short and long term goals and strategic planning to support the program. Supervises program support staff and student assistants, approval of time sheets. Manages the front office and undergraduate research assistants. In collaboration with Principal Investigators, coordinates fiscal related activities to ensure expenses are being charged to correct accounts. Assists with yearly budgetary and contract processes. Prepares reports on program activities. Designs and implements programs to facilitate program goals develops and oversees project timelines; prepare and monitor budgets for programs and events; respond to inquiries regarding program offerings; coordinates program communications and marketing; assist in proposal preparation, submission and reporting; assists in the maintenance of program records and databases; coordinate program operations to include equipment, staff and budget; evaluates current programs against program goals and objectives.   Develops and maintains relationships with stakeholders. Concur entries for STEM delegated personnel, collection of travel documentation and receipts. Collection of receipts, reimbursement forms, W9s, stipend forms. Travel, food and lodging arrangements. Aggiebuy requisition and invoice entry (non punch-out), Aggiebuy purchases (punch-out), Coordination of purchases (outside of Aggiebuy), deliveries and shipments. AggieSTEM Marketplace (Reports only).  Jobs for Aggies entries for any student workers. Check out the AggieSTEM payment card, process credit card purchases, reconcile monthly credit card statement, coordinate expenditure approvals (signature or email), account assignment.  Coordination with TLAC business office on transactions and account balances, hiring mew staff and camp counselors. Coordination with other TAMU and TAMUS offices as and when required.
  • Aggie STEM Activities - Coordinates Aggie STEM activities including Aggie STEM Summer Camp, Aggie Administrator Boot Camp and web presence. Make purchases and receive materials to support Aggie STEM Activities. Hire STEM camp staff, plan and implement all STEM camp activities, work with constituents to design camp curriculum, manage Aggie STEM student and corporate board. Prepare office for meetings including technology.
  • Research - Works collaboratively on activities in conjunction with the project goals in symbiosis with the Aggie STEM Team and professional development specialists.
  • Liaison - Coordinates and liaises with project staff across TAMU and other constituents.
  • Travel - Attend meetings throughout the state, travel to inform state constituents about Aggie STEM center. Performs other duties as assigned.
