Job Summary:

The Human Resources Programs Coordinator, under general supervision, provides direct support to HR programs and will serve as the Learning and Development Specialist to assist with learning and development programs. The Human Resources Programs Coordinator or Learning and Development Specialist will assist with the coordination of training providers, content subject matter experts, training administrators, and training coordinators throughout the Texas A&M System.  This role will coordinate online courses, setting up classroom registration functionality, making training assignments, recording completions, monitoring training, and resolving technical issues.  This role will also be responsible for all Wellness Initiative to include the agency Employee Assistance Program.  Continued employment in this position is contingent upon availability of funding and satisfactory performance.

Essential Duties:

  • Provides training and assistance to all employees throughout the agency in adding courses into TrainTraq, uploading completions, hosting online courses, making assignments, and monitoring compliance. Responds to inquiries regarding the capabilities and functionality of TrainTraq. Processes TrainTraq access requests and monitors user roles and access. 20%

  • Provides training and assistance to all employees throughout the agency in adding courses into LinkedIn Learning, monitoring completions, facilitating online courses, making assignments, and monitoring compliance and/or completions. Responds to inquiries regarding the capabilities and functionality of LinkedIn Learning. Processes LinkedIn Learning access requests and monitors user roles and access. 20%

  • Assists the Human Resources Director and Assistant Director in the coordination and orchestration of Learning and Development programs for the agency. 20%

  • Provides customer support to all TrainTraq users in resolving user and technical issues in TrainTraq. 5%

  • May teach instructor-led courses in technology or professional development topics. 10%

  • Maintains and continues to refine the TTI Wellness Program, including managing employee newsletters, workshops, fitness programs, and wellness checkups; conducting and analyzing wellness related surveys; chairing Wellness Council meetings and activities; marketing Wellness Program; as well as developing new components to enrich TTI Wellness Program. 20%

  • Responsible to market the Employee Assistance Program to TTI employees, provide updates, conduct training sessions.  4%

  • Other duties as assigned 1%

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Development, Human Resource Management or applicable degree area or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • One year of related experience working with learning management systems/training management technologies or providing technical troubleshooting and support.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook and related software.
    Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

  • Verbal and written communication skills.

  • Interpersonal and organizational skills.

  • Customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge/Experience with the Texas A&M University System

  • Experience in professional development training

  • Experience in curriculum development
