The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology has an outstanding opportunity for an individual trained in Grants Management to join our research team.

POSITION PURPOSE
Under the general supervision of the Associate Director of Research Operations and oversight by the Vice Chair, this individual will be responsible for managing grants and contracts submitted to diverse funding agencies and supporting department faculty in managing complex fiscal portfolios. The Program Operations Analyst will keep track of and support faculty in preparing all post award requirements including progress reports, fiscal reports, revisions, and other required documentation.  This individual strategically plans for and ensures compliant and effective funding, budget and regulatory administration and general grant support for Principal Investigators (PI’s) and their labs. Collaborating with PIs, this individual will interface with other UW departments as needed on administrative and strategic planning.  They work autonomously to complete nonscientific grant content and tasks, advise the PIs on relevant matters, develop effective solutions to related issues and implement departmental policies and practices to ensure compliance with sponsor and university requirements.

Faculty in our department oversee nearly 100 active grants and contracts totaling on average, $18m a year. This person will be responsible for providing expertise in post-award policies and practices as defined by sponsors, federal, state and the University.
