Job Summary
Prepares financial reports, conducts special projects, and provides financial analysis to all levels of management.
Responsibilities
1. Develop and manage the annual budget to meet Tanner Dance’s mission self-sustainably.
2. Price out tuition and other products and services to maximize customer engagement and maintain financial health.
3. Create and redesign, monitor, and enforce all financial policies (accounts receivable/payable, etc.) in the organization.
4. Represent the organization and coordinate all aspects of financial audits.
5. Prepares and interprets management information and other financial reports.
6. Analyzes financial documents, statistical data, historical data and presents to and interprets for management.
7. Participates in the establishment and maintenance of cost accounting systems.
8. Audits accounting systems, reconciles data, and resolves technical problems or recommends solutions when appropriate.
9. Analyzes trends and possible consequences.
10. Recommends and implements improvements that affect accounting systems and departmental operations.
11. Prepares and monitors departmental budget.
12. May provide training on financial issues or procedures or provide guidance to more junior staff.
13. May assist in the office as needed

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or a related field or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience); plus two years of related experience. Also required are a thorough knowledge of established accounting principles and practices; spreadsheet and database skills; knowledge of statistics and demonstrated analytical, problem solving, human relation and effective communication skills required.
An advanced degree, such as a Master’s of Business Administration, is preferred. Certain positions may require familiarity with hospital billing systems, Medicare and insurance reimbursement regulations, etc.
Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.
Preferences
Highly skilled in Excel and related products. Able and willing to quickly learn and master new software. Expected to be the person in the organization to know the most across several software options, including but not limited to: PeopleSoft, Salesforce, and payment pocessing applications.
