Job Description

The Financial Accountant I reports directly to the Assistant Controller and is responsible for the auditing of purchase vouchers and payment card expense reports for accuracy and for compliance with TEES, System, and State purchasing regulations and policy.

Responsibilities:

  • Audits purchase vouchers for accuracy and for compliance with TEES, System, and State purchasing regulations and policy.
  • Responds to department personnel voucher questions and assists with resolution of problems and training of department personnel on voucher compliance.
  • Aids departments and vendors with vendor inquires.
  • Backup for PO based invoice creation in AggieBuy.
  • Performs other related duties as requested or when necessary.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Experience:

  • No experience.

Preferred Experience:

  • Accounts payable experience. Purchase voucher and payment card expense report preparation or audit within TAMUS.
  • Relevant accounts payable experience with FAMIS, AggieBuy, Oversight, and Concur.

Salary:

  • $3,042.67/month + depending on qualifications
