Job Summary

MBA Admissions seeks a Digital Marketing Coordinator to work with the broader MBA Admissions Marketing team to reach out to prospective students and encourage them to apply and enroll at HBS. The Coordinator will create and design content and will be part of the MBA Admissions Marketing team. The person in this role will help broaden our reach to prospective students, producing informative and interesting content for the applicant community on a variety of channels, including the blog, social media, and paid ads. The Coordinator will need to have digital marketing expertise, graphic design experience, and a strong understanding of content marketing and social media outlets.


Position Description

Support Admissions marketing and communications efforts; implement and execute the digital marketing strategy:

  • Manage the MBA Voices blog. Responsibilities include topic identification, management of the editorial calendar, blogger recruitment, content editing, and website publishing.
  • Oversee social media strategy and presence for MBA Admissions. This includes management of the Admissions Instagram account and any future social channels, and partnering with the Assistant Director and central HBS Marketing & Communications on paid ad campaigns.
  • Support email creation for prospective student audiences, including ownership of monthly newsletters.
  • Partner with the Assistant Director, Digital Marketing in managing the MBA website. Responsibilities include keeping pages up to date with the admissions cycle, creating new pages, and refreshing content as needed.
  • Support video creation and management within Admissions. This includes developing video content for social media, supporting larger video production projects in partnership with the Assistant Director, and managing the virtual event recording library and web page for Admissions. 
Graphic Design:
  • Social media content including graphics and videos to market the MBA Program, upcoming events, key admissions dates, etc.
  • Produce digital ads for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google, and TikTok.
  • Update digital flyers and brochures and create new versions as needed.
  • Develop new marketing collateral as needed, including graphics and videos for emails, blog headers, the website, digital signs, etc. o Ensure consistency of brand and creative across channels.
Additional Marketing Activities: 
  • Participate in HBS Marketing & Communication councils and committees.
  • Own and support Admissions outreach activities for a targeted segment.
  • Work with Yield and Outreach teams on content and marketing needs.
  • Support other Admissions programs and events as needed.
  • Travel may be required as part of the Marketing team—representing HBS and MBA Admissions at events, conferences, and fairs.
  • Contribute to collaborative culture with willingness to both teach and learn from colleagues. 
Other:
  • Support MBA Program with on-campus customer service and admin responsibilities.
  • Responsible for other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
  • 5 years of experience is required. Education beyond high school may count toward experience
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and Zoom experience is necessary

Additional Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience in digital marketing, communications, managing social media channels, graphic design, or similar fields is desired
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills as well as good judgment
  • Facility with marketing analytics tools (e.g., Adobe or Google Analytics)
  • Experience with video creation and website editing
  • Excellent editing, proofreading, and writing skills

Additional Information

This role is offered as a hybrid (some combination of onsite and remote) where you are required to be onsite at our Boston, MA based campus 3 days per week. Specific days and schedule will be determined between you and your manager.
