Description

Primary Function:  Process third party billing and payments on behalf of eligible students.  Act as a point of contact for students, internal and external customers. Maintain and monitor the student account to ensure accuracy.  Fulfill all duties and responsibilities as per established business practices and service level agreements.

                                                                               

Essential Functions:              

  • Reviews all Direct Billing Authorizations for accuracy and completeness. 
  • Process all Direct Billing Authorizations.  This includes but is not limited to, creating organizational ID’s, third party contracts, checklists, payment plans and applying the appropriate service indicators and student groups to a student account.
  • Prepare and deliver Third Party Billing statements per appropriate business practice and SLA/PGL.
  • Monitor and follow up on all Third Party receivables.
  • Notates all appropriate information in CRM per standard business practice.
  • Process and review weekly student account statements to ensure accuracy of information.
  • Process, post and reconcile all third party payments.
  • Process third party recoveries of overpayment and authorize appropriate student refunds.
  • Perform account audit/analysis for students, internal and external customers and determine required action for resolution if necessary.
  • Provide customer service through One Stop phone skill sets Student Accounts and Billing as well as direct calls in and out.
  • Evaluate and respond to all inquiries delivered to email team boxes.
  • Assist other teams as requested during peak times.

Skills & Abilities:


 

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

 

Experience:   

  • Minimum of one (1) year of office experience required, accounting experience preferred.

 

Other Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality in handling student account information.
  • Ability to interact and work effectively with faculty, administration, staff and students in a collegial and multicultural environment.
  • Strong ability to research, analyze and interpret data and information.
  • Basic skills using arithmetic.
  • Must be detailed orientated, with the ability to ensure accurate and quality work within prescribed timeframe.
  • Strong customer service skills required.
  • Strong written communication skills required with the ability to use correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, etc.
  • Ability to work independently as well as establish effective working relationships in a team environment.
  • Commitment to quality and personal ethics to maintain a high level of confidentiality related to all duties and responsibilities.

 

Computer Skills:

Proficiency in using computer software, databases, internet, spreadsheets and word-processing. Solid knowledge and skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, XP, Internet) computer software.
