Posting Summary | The Waksman Institute at Rutgers University seeks an outstanding scientist to fill a new tenure-track faculty position in Plant Biology at the Assistant Professor level, with a tentative starting date of September 1, 2020. The academic appointment will be in the Department of Plant Biology within the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences at Rutgers. We are seeking an individual with research interests that complement and expand our existing strengths, including genetics, molecular and developmental biology, cell biology and genomics. The successful candidate at the Waksman Institute at Rutgers University has a multitude of responsibilities in the areas of teaching, service, and scholarship. Tenure-track faculty are expected to develop a substantial, internationally-recognized, externally-funded program of scholarship that can withstand review from faculty at peer institutions. The Institute expects that tenure track faculty will spend a significant amount of time pursuing and participating in scholarly activities. Candidates are also expected to develop and teach graduate and undergraduate courses, advise and mentor graduate and undergraduate students, and participate in local and external service activities. |
