The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Administrative Coordinator, UNLV Academic Resources [R0142428]
ROLE of the POSITION
This position acts as a liaison for college/school Business Managers and Executive/Vice/Associate Deans that report to the Executive Vice President & Provost area to coordinate, analyze, and approve the beginning recruitment process to the hiring stage. This position is also responsible for budget and employee reports, employee actions processing of documents, contracts, salary increases, job changes, etc.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and a minimum of 1 year of related/comparable higher education professional administrative experience. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date.
Requires analytical and decision-making skills; use of independent and discretionary judgement; problem solving skills; excellent writing, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; experience supervising implementation of business policies, practices, and procedures; knowledge of best practices for internal controls and business management; and ability to use Microsoft Office, as well as other software and programs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred candidate will have worked in a university setting that deals with academic faculty and is familiar with academic faculty processes and intricacies. An individual who has a firm grasp of NSHE and UNLV policies and procedures, processes, related to recruitment, hiring, position budget management, promotion and tenure, and merit.
