Who We Are:

The Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) is an internationally recognized leader in emergency response training, workforce training and technical assistance. The major TEEX programs include fire and rescue, infrastructure and safety, law enforcement, economic and workforce development, and homeland security.

About the Role:

The Administrative Coordinator I will support the Leadership Program, Leadership Development Symposium and Fire Service Chief Executive Officer (FSCEO) Program. You will work closely with the Leadership Training Manager, program personnel and students to coordinate program deliveries, address customer inquiries, and resolve complaints. You will supervise the work of administrative support staff and/or student workers. Additionally, you will report on course data, financials and monitor the status of special projects. You will have a significant role in the Leadership Development Symposium and Fire Service Chief Executive Officer program coordination and other events as needed. This position reports to the Leadership Training Manager.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Two years of experience in office administration or project management.

  • Valid Driver’s License.

What to Expect:

  • Coordinates administrative support functions for the Leadership Program

  • Coordinates the administrative requirements of the annual delivery of the Leadership Development Symposium (LDS)

  • Provides direction and supervision of assigned employees

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to communicate orally and in writing

  • Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. of office supplies and/or resource materials

  • Extensive or regular use of computer/keyboard

  • Ability to travel independently by driving to other TEEX locations, meetings, and/or conferences

  • Physical conditioning consistent with room set up for meetings, handling/moving/lifting office supplies, mail, files, office references and resource materials
