Job Description

The Administrative Associate V supports the Student Academic Success Center and the Academic Learning Center in the day-to-day operations.

This position typically works Monday-Friday; 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. May work beyond normal office hours to include evenings, weekends, and peak times as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Under general supervision, assists in the coordination of the Academic Learning Center day-to-day operations.

  • Creates, establishes, and maintains tracking and reporting systems to monitor the tutoring and supplemental instruction programs.

  • Manage the appointment system for the Academic Learning System

  • Assists in coordinating logistics for workshops, orientations and other special events.

  • Serves as a first point of contact for program information and coordinates responses to requests for program information.

  • Guides, directs, answers questions, and resolves problems of students seeking assistance from the Student Academic Success Center.

  • Assists the reception area of the Student Academic Success Center

  • May be required to train student workers, keep student schedules, and back up the reception area.

  • Maintains office schedules and appointments.

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Five (5) years of experience in related field.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.

  • Ability to work with an appointment scheduling system for advising and/or tutoring.

  • Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
