We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and well-organised individual to the role of Student Recruitment and Marketing Officer (0.4FTE) to contribute to the growth and success of Aston University.

Role Overview: As the Student Recruitment and Marketing Officer, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing Aston’s reputation in Schools and Colleges, as well as organising three undergraduate Open Days. 

You will lead on the development of relationships between Aston University and key feeder institutions, implementing the agreed recruitment strategy to increase applications. You will be responsible for building relationships with key stakeholders including prospective students, head teachers, school staff and parents. This will involve delivering workshops and presentations to give information, advice and guidance about Higher Education.

You will be a skilled event planner and will be responsible for developing a variety of on-campus events as well as the three undergraduate Open days the university holds each year, attracting more than 3,000 visitors to campus. You will have excellent communication skills and ability to work with all levels of seniority to deliver these projects successfully, which are central to the University’s recruitment strategy.

You will take a lead on Marketing the team's on campus events, including updating the website, designing e-newsletters and running the team's social channels. You will also work closely with the wider University Marketing team to promote the undergraduate Open Days.

Due to the nature of our work with schools and colleges, evening work is essential, as well as occasional weekend work, including some overnight stays during busy event periods. A full UK driving license is also essential, but if you are unable to fulfill this requirement then please contact us for a discussion.

This role is part of a job share. Currently, this role covers two days of the week, ideally Monday and Tuesday as the job-share partner works Wednesday- Friday. There may be the opportunity to extend the working hours to 2.5 days for the right candidate. Please outline on the job application what your ideal working pattern might be. The successful candidate will be required to attend Aston University for pre-employment checks, including DBS check.
