Offer Description

We are inviting postdoctoral researchers to apply for an SNSF Swiss Postdoctoral Fellowship to join our research group at the University Children’s Hospital and University of Zürich. The fellowship is the Swiss equivalent of the prestigious Marie-Sklodowska Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships. After selecting one or two candidates, we will support your application as a host laboratory. For further information on the call, please visit: https://www.snf.ch/en/m1NtWp4nTELQixlu/funding/horizon-europe-swiss-postdoctoral-fellowships  (to be updated for 2024 soon)

What we offer?

Our research group addresses challenges of pediatric developmental neuroimaging, builds computational tools and uses them to explore the dynamic aspects of perinatal and pediatric neurodevelopment in the individual patient and across larger study groups (https://www.kispi.uzh.ch/forschungszentrum/forschungsgebiete/zentrum-fuer-mr-forschung/fetal-and-infant-developmental-imaging ). We are dedicated to enhancing clinical diagnostic and therapeutic options for various conditions, including prematurity, congenital heart disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders, and more. Your project will use state-of-the-art research infrastructure, such dedicated pediatric MRI scanners, a 9.4T MRI preclinical scanner or the mesoSPIM light-sheet microscope. We collaborate several research groups focusing on basic and applied clinical research in Switzerland and internationally. You will receive an attractive package consisting of a competitive postdoctoral salary (equivalent to ca. 105’000 Euros per year) for two years, your own project budget and other benefits.

What is needed for your application?

  • A letter of motivation with a short summary of the research project that you want to pursue as a new member of our group
  • CV
  • Publication list (only peer-reviewed articles in internationally recognized journals or peer-reviewed conference publications)

Please note that applications that are not eligible for the specific call and those without a summary of the envisaged research project will not be considered.
