As a world-renowned pioneer in the development of bioinformatics, the Faculty's Section of Fundamental Medicine is opening a position of:

FULL or ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR in the field of bioinformatics

JOB DESCRIPTION :

  • Establish and maintain a competitive research programme supported by external funding
  • Ensure teaching and service duties within the Faculty of Medicine, particularly in the domain of fundamental research
  • Lead a research team
  • Take the academic responsibility of the Faculty of Medicine's bioinformatics platform

REQUIREMENTS :

  • PhD or MD-PhD
  • Proven expertise in bioinformatic research
  • Ability to develop a competitive line of research focusing on the development of innovative bioinformatic tools in one of the Faculty of Medicine's priority areas (neurosciences, immunology and host-pathogen relations, metabolic diseases and oncology in particular).
  • Holder of competitive research funds and author of publications in leading peer-reviewed journals
