Your mission :

The Laboratory of Brain Development and Biological Data Science is at the forefront of research in brain development. Our multidisciplinary team is dedicated to understanding the complex processes that influence brain development and identifying factors that lead to developmental disorders.

We are seeking a dedicated Biology Lab Technician to join our dynamic team. The primary focus of this role is to contribute to our groundbreaking project exploring the impact of brain lipid metabolism on correct brain development and teratogenesis.


Main duties and responsibilities include :
  • Perform precise and skilled animal surgeries, with a particular emphasis on embryo dissections at early mouse developmental stages.
  • Conduct and maintain ex-utero embryo cultures.
  • Assisting in the acquisition of images through confocal and light sheet microscopes.
  • Assist in cloning, lentiviral infection procedures, and electroporation in embryos.
  • Collaborate in a multidisciplinary team, contributing to ongoing research projects.
  • Lab management tasks, e.g. maintaining laboratory equipment, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, etc.

Your profile :
  • A degree in Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in animal surgeries and early-stage embryo dissections. Candidates may be required to demonstrate their skills as part of the selection process.
  • Experience in cell culture techniques.
  • Familiarity with confocal and light sheet microscopy is advantageous.
  • Experience in molecular biology techniques such as cloning, lentiviral infection, and electroporation in embryos is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work meticulously and accurately under time-sensitive conditions.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills in English. Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
