Job Description

The School of Continuing and Lifelong Education (SCALE) was established to drive the expansion of NUS’ lifelong learning offerings in a concerted and strategic way that furthers our mission to be a leading global university, as well as fulfil our role as a public university of Singapore, shaping the future.

Drawing on unparalleled access to the multi-disciplinary expertise of 16 other NUS Faculties/Schools, SCALE offers youth, executive and professional development/education programmes, part-time and full-time degree programmes, as well as modular courses that may be taken singly or stacked towards certificates/diplomas/degrees that meet the lifelong learning needs of individuals.  All programmes are designed and developed in consultation with the industry to ensure relevance and currency.

 


About the Role

 

To augment our manpower resources in the School, we are looking for a suitably qualified candidate to join our Communications Team as an Assistant Project Manager (Temporary).  

 

Reporting to the Lifelong Learning Press Secretary the incumbent shall assist in a communications project that will include research and information gathering activities. 

 

This role is offered on a 4-month contract basis.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
•    Support the project manager in overseeing all aspects of the project, ensuring timely and successful completion.
•    Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant assets, data, and information necessary.
•    Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather relevant information.
•    Organise and maintain project documentation, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
•    Help plan meetings, workshops, and presentations related to the project.
•    Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or issues, and proactively propose solutions.
•    Assist in reviewing reports and presentations that summarise findings and recommendations.
•    Support in managing communication with vendor, ensuring alignment on project objectives and outcomes.
•    Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback and insights for process enhancement.
 


Requirements


Academic & Professional Certification
•    Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
•    Excellent English proficiency, both written and spoken
•    Digital and data literacy expected
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.

 

Experience & Attributes:
•    Proven experience in project management, preferably in a marketing or branding context.
•    Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a collaborative mindset.
•    Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful insights.
•    Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
•    Resilient, resourceful with good problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, and thrives in a fast-paced, results-oriented, and ambiguous work environment
