Te āheinga: The opportunity
Exam supervision is a position of responsibility. You will need to be trustworthy, vigilant and have integrity to meet the examination regulations. Your ability to work as a team player is vital to this role. The regulations ensure all learners sit exams under equal conditions. The purpose of exam supervision is to ensure that exams across the institute run smoothly.
Supervisors oversee the security and integrity of the examination before, during and after the examination. You will oversee invigilators of the exams and help to ensure they are competent and confident to carry out their duties.

He kōrero mōu: About you
You'll have:
- An understanding or desire to learn te Reo Māori, tikanga Māori, and the values and practices of kaupapa Māori
- Evidence of active engagement in building diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplaces/environments
- The ability to work autonomously and equally value being a part of a supportive and close-knit team
- Excellent workflow management, attention to detail and organisational skills
- The ability to think on your feet and troubleshoot calmly
- Microsoft Office 365 and Teams proficiency.
- The ability to ensure compliance with exam regulations and processes - tactfully
- Good time management skills
- The ability to liaise with and supervise invigilators to provide a seamless exam experience for examiners and learners
- Team player skills - you will be working with other supervisors, invigilators and academic staff
- Effective communication skills
- Physically fit and able to move around our campus, sometimes walk up and down stairs and lift a small box of exam papers
- Accurate record-keeping skills, including the ability to count quickly and accurately
- The ability to support other administrative-related tasks as per business requirements
Desirable:
- Previous experience working as an exam supervisor or an invigilator
