Hospitality Services is the commercial arm of AUT University, think of it as a large hotel with 28,000 guests, 4000 staff and 630 conference spaces. AUT Events is a Hospitality Services division and delivers over 1500 events annually, both on and off-site, from international conferencing to dinner for 600 at the cloud. 

This role is pivotal in the successful organisation and delivery of AUT Events. As Associate Director - Conference and Events, you will lead a large team of highly motivated team leaders and events coordinators, in addition to leading the operations team that successfully delivers all these events, up to 15 in a single day. We pride ourselves on our innovative service culture, and this goes a long way to our success, with many major corporates and Government agencies using our facilities.

In addition, this role has room to grow, as you will need to have a strategic vision to act as Deputy to the Director of Hospitality Services in leading the entire group, deputising in their absence. To be considered for this role, you will need at least 10 years of leadership experience in a large hotel or events centre environment and a passion for the industry.
