Offer Description

The world of hospitality is in constant movement. More than ever, guests are looking for personalized experiences based on the current developments in the world. Sustainability, technology, and hyper-personalization are shaping the future direction of the hotel industry. For our students to be of significance in the future of hospitality, you as a lecturer play an important role. Students are to be inspired to learn to take managerial decisions based on sound research, data-analysis and information retrieval.

Therefore, from year 1 on, we stimulate an attitude of ‘research oriented learning’ and focus on the development of the students’ research skills. In the first 2.5 years the program is oriented towards quantitative as well as qualitative research methods. Students work on themes such as: how to do desk research and formulate good research; questions including the use of A.I., interviewing, how to make a survey, data-analysis and the use of statistical software and Excel. Besides a theoretical approach, much attention is paid to the practical application of this knowledge in various areas of hospitality management.

That’s why you feel at home at Hotel Management School Maastricht

As a lecturer you provide classes and workshops in both Dutch and English in the field of quantitative and qualitative research skills, data-analysis and the use of A.I.. Together with your colleagues you will contribute to the further development and digitization of the educational bachelor, especially in your field of expertise. You will also be involved in project assignments, in coaching our students in their study progress and in their professional development during their internships. This way, you help our students grow as professionals and as human beings and contribute to their future.

Together with your colleagues, you prepare talented students for the (international) hospitality world of today and tomorrow.
