Offer Description
Tumors of nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses represent approximately 1% of head and neck tumors and present a therapeutic difficulty linked both to the anatomical complexity of the area of onset and to the high number of histotypes that characterize them.The identification of these histotypes through histological and molecular examination (search for micro RNA in biological tissues) can direct towards the most appropriate treatment, surgical or chemo-radiotherapy.The research activity of the project involves:a)the enrollment of the greatest possible number of patients (at least 30);b)basic clinical and instrumental evaluation (videoendoscopy, imaging, biopsy);c)molecular investigations on blood samples, mucosa and pathological tissue;d)surgical and/or chemoradiotherapy therapeutic options based on the results obtained;e)evaluation of outcomes;f)statistical analysis of data; g) writing of a scientific paper with critical discussion of the results
