Technical Officer

The Computer Science Department wishes to recruit a Technical Officer to join its support team. The team is responsible for providing IT support for its teaching and research requirements.

The Technical Officer will report to the Chief Technical Officer. Duties may include, but are not limited   to, the following:

The IT support of the Department’s teaching, its research staff, and students,

The support and administration of the Department’s network, Linux servers, and workstations,

On-going support of the Department’s Apple Macintosh laboratory and software,

Maintenance and development of in-house web-based applications.

Technical Officer (2023) Salary Scale:            €42,830 – €56,578 p.a. (7 points)

Appointments will be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions.
