The Centre for Experimental Pathogen Host Research (CEPHR), established in 2019 at the UCD School of Medicine by Prof Patrick Mallon, is Ireland's leading research group in HIV and one of the few academic research centres in Europe that integrates host and pathogen research. CEPHR comprises clinical, translational, statistical, and biomedical researchers working interactively on aspects of host and pathogen research. The centre combines clinical research facilities with state-of-the-art laboratory facilities, including BCL3 laboratories.

CEPHR is internationally recognized for its translational research, being involved in both investigator-initiated and industry-sponsored studies, as well as leading national and EU-funded projects in different areas of Infectious Diseases, including COVID-19.

MPOX-VAX is a project recently awarded to CEPHR and is being conducted within ID-CTNI (Infectious Diseases Clinical Trials Network Ireland) sites. This is a prospective low intervention clinical trial examining the immune response of participants receiving modified vaccine Ankara (MVA) for the prevention of mpox infection.

CEPHR is currently seeking a full time research project manager to join CEPHR's project management office (PMO) The successful candidate will support the coordination of the MPOX-VAX study in Ireland as part of the ID-CTNI network, as well as assist the PMO with other management activities related to CEPHR projects. The post is advertised for one year with potential for further extending the contract up to three years.

This position offers the successful candidate the opportunity to work and grow in an interdisciplinary team, gaining skills and experience in the conduct of clinical studies/trials from the very onset of the study to implementation and final analysis and reporting.

Salary: €55,000 - €65,000 per annum

Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
